"Featured Club Member" Our club is steadily growing and "Featured Club Member" now can be chosen from many members. Of course the first chosen member by Mark (below) is a tough act to follow, yet, I certainly feel my candidate fits the bill and that is Randy Black. OK, now why did I select Randy?? Rovering as I like to call it usually offers some opportunities to get totally stuck - whether that is caught in the mud or rocks or a dead Rover. Now, my situation is the dead Rover with a person I've never met before and he is not too sure about his Rover's capability since it is a fairly new purchase. Does this stop Randy from just hooking up the dead Rover to his D90?? NOOO!! He just quietly pulls out the recovery strap, attaches it to my Rover, and away we go!!! Through the stream, up the hill in front of the locals, and finally to the paved road for flat bedding back to Tulsa. So, my basic criteria for the spot light person is very similiar to TREAD LIGHTLY: What you back in you pack out. In my case - Randy was able to pack out my Rover and for this, he - Randy Black - is my "Featured Club Member." Thank You, Jim Thompson |

What can we say about our very first "Featured Club Member" that her picture doesn't already say? A true
Rover lover! Her immaculate Series I is always kept mud free, and apart from a little sand from
a casual expedition aross the Sahara on any given weekend, her trusty rag top never leaves the
asphalt.Our club member is a quiet gal, given to displaying wonderful team-spirit at all club events, and truly deserving of this acknowledgement. OKRovers |
