A Note on the Hammerlock

Our Hammerlocks are easy to assemble, and as the name suggests require a hammer to do so. Think of this device as a simple hinge, and every hinge has a center pin. Place one half through the thimble of the rope, and the other half in the eye of the winch hook. Now hold the two halves together with the locking cylinder in the middle and place the entire assembly on its side on a firm surface. Hammer the pin down through the two halves making sure that the pin goes through the locking cylinder in the center. That's it! In the event that you want to remove the hook from the winchrope sometime in the future, a punch is required to hammer out the pin.
