"I'll try to find trails with bypasses so the bigger guys can get some adrenaline going, and those less aggressive can still watch. I run stock suspension height with 245/75/16's so I reckon a Disco will go where I can go." The plan is to drive up in the afternoon on Friday with late check-in at one of the motels in the area. HotSprings.org has hotel/motel rates, etc. The Arlington Hotel is in downtown Hot Springs, has it's own shopping, and there are a lot of shops on the same street. You may decide to stay Sunday to check out the resort town. The closest property is the Panther Valley Ranch 501-623-5556. You may also want to try Knights Inn 800-238-4891 (501-624-4436), also very close to the park. If you don't mind an older property you may want to check out The Tower Motel 501-624-9555 or the Alpine Inn 501-624-9164. To the Park: From Hot Springs take Highway 70 east to the Mill Creek Road exit, 5 miles east of town. Go just past the Panther Valley Ranch and turn right into the park. Rendezvous: We meet at 9:00am just inside the park entrance in the 5 acre parking lot. We complete the trail ride in the late afternoon, and break for home. This gives everyone, including the Edmond, OKC area club members time to get home on Saturday evening. Those staying over 'til Sunday have another opportunity to 'wheel in the morning - see rates below. There will be sponsored raffle prizes, and we welcome help in this area from any club member with connections to a sponsor who wishes to contribute a prize. Rates: "We offer clubs with at least 10 or more participants the weekend for $40.00 each, this will include a year membership that will allow you to come back for $10.00 per day thereafter, excluding special events...Normal cost for non members would be $25.00 per day." - Superlift ORV Park |
