ARCHES NATIONAL PARK - LOCATION: MOAB, UTAH. . Here's some off-road pics from Moab, Utah with nary a 4x4 vehicle in sight. After many years of doing the annual 4wheeling trip to Canyon Country, this year instead we spent a few days playing tourist and toured Arches National Park (and a little of Canyonlands too). We hiked to innumerable rock formations including the unbelievable 'Landscape Arch' (wider than a football field). We found fossilized dinosaur foorprints in three different locations (hi-clearance 4x4 required), and drove into Canyonlands on the way home and showed the kids where scenes from Star Wars were filmed. Now we're already planning our trip for next year, and I don't have as much explaining to do 'cause the whole family is into it. Moab, Utah, Our Happy Place! .
