4wheeling is fine, if you do it on property that is approved by the owner...but when people just
drive right past the NO TRESPASS notices...they need to have their trucks impounded and fined...
4x4's have trashed my property and they understand why I won't let them go play in my heavily
wooded land.
The problem I have is the ones that get pissed when I ask them to leave. I've had some tell me
that I don't have the right to close MY LAND. I love the land for what it is and what lives on
it. Guess I've turned into a tree huggin' hippey in my old age. Oh well!

In every 4x4 magazine today we read about trail closings in the U.S. due to the carelessness of
our fellow offroad enthusiasts. Ironically, in Europe everyone thinks that we here in America can
drive wherever we please. Unfortunately some of us think this is true. As well as lobbying
congress to keep public lands public (a very worthwhile activity), there's plenty we can do to
try to change popular opinion. Instead of venturing off just anywhere, find out where you can
legally drive off-road. The best advice we know is to join a 4x4 club in your area and acquaint
yourself with proper trail etiquette. Most clubs practice 'tread lightly' and are careful about
'doing the right thing' when participating in the sport of off-roading, while at the same time
having fun.

Pics are from an off-road park near Knoxville, Iowa, that the Make it or Break it club
maintains. They hosted a small Toyota get-together this Summer called "Toyota Tall Corn."
More of the pics are from Rockport off-road park in Rockport, Il, and from Flat Nasty, a new
park in SE MO.

I recently purchased a Amsteel Blue synthetic winch rope, hook and hawse. Thank you guys for the
great deal, I do appreciate it, as well as getting it to me quickly. I plan on returning to

simply make it the best."
Froading for me:
"Off-Roading - driving is great its you and machine as one, to drive off
road its you and machine as one with the terrain. Testing and pushing the
capabilities and skills of both while enjoying the wide & wild outdoors."
